Membership 2016

Our new members car windscreen stickers have just arrived. We will be sending out a car sticker with each membership.

There will be a number plate raffle at the Annual Show for any cars or lorries who are displaying the Sticker on their windscreen.

We also have a number of smaller car stickers for non members, this will be available at events.

As part of your membership, you will also receive the May and October issue of British Breeder Magazine, which will be sent direct to you.

Woodlander Stud Tops the Charts with Summertime Blues

Eddie Cochran sang the immortal words, “there ain't no cure for the summertime blues”, however Woodlander Stud certainly do not require a cure.   Their homebred four year old Stallion, Summertime Blues, has just been placed second at the Stallion Licensing in Hanover making him one of the most highly placed British Bred Stallions of all time.

The BHHS is proud to introduce Hochadel to the UK

Now based in the UK, the renowned stallion HOCHADEL (Hohenstein x Donnerhall X Lanthan). HOCHADEL needs no introduction as a prolific sire worldwide of sport horses, breeding mares and licensed sons. HOCHADEL won his performance test scoring 10's for walk and rideability and 9 for trot. He passes onto his offspring his wonderful easy character and trainability.

Annual General Meeting 2016

The British Hanoverian Horse Society (BHHS) is pleased to announce that their Annual General Meeting will be held at Eastwood Hall Hotel, Mansfield Rd, Eastwood, Nottingham, NG16 3SS on Saturday 19 March 2016 at 1pm.

The Agenda will include the presentation of the annual report and accounts for full approval and declaration of persons elected as members of the Society.  The full Agenda will be published on the website in due course.

There will be refreshments available from 12pm onwards, therefore we will be grateful if you could confirm your attendance.

Northern Stallion Showcase 2016

The British Hanoverian Horse Society will be in attendance at the Northern Stallion Showcase on Sunday 20th March 2016.

Offering an unrivalled opportunity to see stallions from leading studs, the third running of the high profile Northern Stallion Showcase, supported by Baileys Horse Feeds, will take place on Sunday March 20th and move to the recently refurbished Newton Rigg College Equestrian Centre near Penrith in Cumbria.

2016 Annual Show

The British Hanoverian Horse Society Annual Show will be at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe on the 24th/25th September 2016.

British Hanoverians Scoop Seven Awards at the British Breeders Ceremony

British Hanoverians collected a total of seven awards at the British Breeders Award Ceremony held at the Grange City Hotel, London on Saturday 16 January 2016.

The first to receive an award was Fosshey Stables & Hanoverian Stud’s Fortunatus (by Floriscount x Der Lord x Wolkenstein) who was presented with the Dressage 2 Year Old Award.  Fortunatus bred and owned by Sandra Tinker from Cheshire was the Best Potential Dressage Horse of his age group in the 2015 Futurity, receiving good comments about his natural ground covering uphill paces.
