The busy summer show season for the British Hanoverian Horse Society (BHHS) was concluded on the 7/8th of September with the 2019 Ultimate Breeder’s Warmblood Championship at Moreton Morrell in Warwickshire.
The BHHS Committee was joined by Hans Henning Von Der Decken Chairman of the Hannoveraner Verband for what was a very successful event and the biggest the Society has seen for many years.
The British Hanoverian Horse Society (BHHS) is very sad to announce the death of one of our founders, Mr Howard Rose.
Howard was one of the original members of the BHHS nearly 30 years ago and initially brought the Stallion Wineberg to the UK. In the early days, Howard, supported by the BHHS Committee, was joined by Dr Ludwig Christmann from the Hannoveraner Verband and they travelled the UK grading mares and branding foals.
The British Hanoverian Horse Society (BHHS) AGM was held on Saturday 23 March 2019 at Horwood House Hotel in Buckinghamshire. It was an extremely positive meeting with a lot of plans for the future development of the Society.

The Rhineland mare Sezuki (Sezuan x Sherlock Holmes x Consul), bred by Christian Heinrich owned by Sandy Senior of Glossoms Stud, was named as this year’s Supreme Champion.
A few days ago the board of the Hanoverian Association passed the following resolution regarding WFFS in stallions:
1. Stallions newly presented for licensing are required to be tested for WFFS as of the passing of the resolution. The result of this test must be attached to the registration for the licensing. For young stallions pre-selected for the main licensing in October, it is sufficient to provide proof of the WFFS test after admission.
