Don Dante Black Hanoverian Stallion

Standing 16.2 hh with 9.5 inches of bone, Don Dante is a superb mover with an exceptional temperament and consistently successful international level dressage competition record.

He is already producing easy to ride stock of first-rate quality. Don Dante’s first foals, born in 2014, show great promise, having inherited his expressive movement, good temperament and confidence.

Don Dante’s Sire, Dancier, has an incredible pedigree filled with top Stallions such as De Niro, Donnerhall, Lancier and Espri. Champion of the 2005 Stallion Testing, Dancier attained a perfect 10 for his trot.

Dancier was third in the Bundeschampionate at 4 years. In 2011, a two year old son of Dancier sold at auction for 315,000 Euros.

Don Dante’s dam, Sabrina, is a State Premium mare by Salvano, grandsire of the famous Salinero. Her pedigree also includes Matrose, the grandsire of Millennium.

  • 2008: Reserve champion yearling at the BEF Futurity Elite show.
  • 2009: Reserve champion at the BWBS UK stallion grading. The judges remarked on his natural balance and self-carriage.
  • 2011: Under saddle, placed at the Shearwater Young Dressage Horse 4 yo Championships and qualified for the National Championships.
  • 2012: Placed in all the Shearwater, Hickstead and Badminton Young Horse Championships, and the National Championships.
  • 2014: Medium Restricted Champion at the National Championships.
  • 2015: Placed in the Advanced Medium Restricted, Open and Open Freestyle at the Winter Championships and Advanced Medium Gold at the National Championships scoring over 70%.
  • 2017: Won at Premier League in PSG and Inter 1 scoring of 70% + 7th in the Elite Inter 1 Freestyle Championship at HOYS.
  • 2018: Won at Wellington Premier League in Inter 1 with 71.93% and Hartpury CDI3* placed 6th in the PSG with 70.11% and 5th in the Inter 1 Freestyle.
