Timolin
Timolin is an elegant, light-footed stallion of exceptional quality showing outstanding paces with a lot of athleticism as is shown in his jumping ability. Heads turn where ever he walks with him eluding exceptional presence and natural self-carriage. This he passes on to his stock who all inherit his lovely paces and superb conformation. He is a lovely, well balanced ride with a bold attitude and excellent temperament.
Timolin was presented at the BEF Futurity as a yearling in 2012 where he was awarded the Overall highest score of all Dressage Yearlings with a score of 9.38. As a two year old he was shown at both The Royal Bath & West Show and Devon County where he won his classes and was Sports Horse Champion at both shows. He was Reserve Overall Dressage Champion two year old with a score of 9.34. He was also graded as BWBS stallion this year. As a three year old he was again the Overall highest dressage horse with a score of 9.43. He has the highest scoring average of any horse or pony ever, presented at the Futurities three times. He was also the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain Stallion Grading Champion.
Timolin was accepted on to the BEF Equine Bridge as a 4 year old dressage horse. He also won the Sports Horse Class at the Royal Windsor Show and went on to win the Blue Chip Championship at the National Hunter Show and then the Supreme Sport Horse Championship of all ages. He is a lovely, well balanced ride with a bold attitude and excellent temperament.
In his first year of eventing with 17 year old Aimee Stunt he won 5 out of 9 BE events and achieved 58 Foundation Points for results and consistency and qualified for the Grass Roots BE90 Championship at Badminton 2018. He was then evented as a 7 year old by Gubby Leech who in 7 Novice Events won two, was 2nd & 3rd and the others were all in the top 10. Graded Intermediate with 25 points at the start of 2019 he continued with Gubby gaining experience and finished the season with 59 points, on the cusp of Advanced. Timolin, as an event horse is now 1 point off Advanced points, mostly achieved with Gubby Leech, although Izzy Taylor kindly stood in to ride him at the Novice National Championships at Gatcombe where he was 6th. He is both bold and careful, has a light and easy gallop which he makes look effortless.
As a dressage horse he qualified for the Novice and Elementary Winter Regionals both straight and Freestyle as a 5 year old, Medium and Advanced Medium Summer and Winter Regionals as a 6 year old with Lizzie Murray and as a 7 year old qualified Prix St Georges. At 8 he has qualified for the Small Tour Championships at Intermedaire 1 and is now confidently winning at Small Tour level. In 2019 he combined both a busy eventing season, dressage season as well as a busy stud season. With Covid in 2020 and not many competitions able to take place he had a very busy stud season combined with lots of training and came out winning at Intermedaire II in 2021. He is now more established with added strength and cadence helping to make the Grand Prix movements look effortless and was winning at Grand Prix in 2022.
His stock continue to excel. He has over 15 Elite stock through the BEF Futurity with some gaining Elite multiple times as all ages. His first crop are now ridden and performing very well under saddle with excellent results winning the Equine Bridge Dressage over all ages, qualifying for regionals in dressage, winning in show classes, top 10 placings in BYEH qualifiers as well as his youngstock continuing to win in hand during their education. With over 140 stock on the ground to date, over 10% being Elite proves that he stamps his stock with his correct conformation, excellent paces and wonderful temperaments suitable for all disciplines. He is the only stallion to have sired 1st to 3rd in both the Sport Horse foal class and 1st to 3rd in the yearling class at the Royal Bath & West Show with the yearling going overall Champion.
Timolin has youngstock in the USA, New Zealand and Australia. His son, Catherston Ticktock has been exported to Canada as an event horse and foundation sire, now Graded over there and winning his first One Day Event, so exciting times ahead in Canada.
